Sounds a great way to incentivise people to do good by shopping local

Does anyone know any details about the economic benefits of shopping local?

Or the value of having independent retailers?

Loads of interesting stuff re: economic benefits of a sustainable local economy on - perhaps we should set one up here in Barry. There's one in Cowbridge we could learn from...

Think it's also worth contributing to the Vale's regeneration meeting on the 25th at the Memo - the Vale's website has booking details.

Good luck, Katrina with ShopLocalBarry

If your favourite retailer is'nt already a member of the scheme, we would highly recommend advising them to visit the Shop Local Barry website to find out more informaiton about joining. It could be that many other shoppers would benefit from the retailer being part of the scheme too!

Each business on the scheme has it's own profile on the website as well as their offers posted and updated every month. Shoppers can visit the webiste for a full list of local businesses on the scheme.
