I think the Pebbley Beach would benefit from plastic walkways next to the road. Firstly it would give pedestrians freedom to walk around off the road as this can be awkward when there are lots of cars around. The End.

The recent 'From the Jam' gig at the Barry Memorial Hall was a great evening for all that attended - and more importantly had an audience of 800 people - evidence of an untapped demand for live music in Barry. Yes, we have the legendary GlastonBarrry and Cadstock Festivals.Yet should the Memo also put on regular live music? Back in the '70's the Memo was one of Wales' leading live music venues with most of the major bands of the time playing there. There seems to be scope to develop a...

I have just had my first baby, Emily. During my pregnancy I marked the passing months with pictures by corresponding beach huts. It would be great if others followed suit so there's a real collection of these photos!

£1 for the first hour or £5 for an hour plus... Well, you can't do much in an hour by the time you've walked down from the upper car park and had a cup of coffee and a bun, all a bit of a rush. £5 then seems a bit steep if you stay for, say, one and a half or even two hours. I'm a great believer in free parking to attract visitors, but as this is unlikely to happen, I would be happy to pay £2 for up to two hours, and a fiver for any longer. The best system is the ticketless...

Anyone that has been to Poole Harbour, in Dorset will be familiar with the weekly 'Bike Night' ( Tuesday evenings). The entire Poole Harbour area is closed to cars, and only motorcycles are allowed.  The idea is simple.  Bikes from all over converge on the weekly event, to meet other bikers, drool at the bikes and generally have a great evening. The cafes, bars and takeaways are teeming, as are the car parks.  The weekly event generates massive income for all involved, and provides a...
